USA Radio offers it's hourly News and Sports programming to stations throughout North America, and has partnered with internet radio broadcasters throughout the world to bring hourly news and sports to their listeners.

"Internet Radio is untapped by most major news outlets."  Says WWRN Owner Robert Hantson.  "USA began offering it's newscasts through a partnership with Spacial Audio a number of years ago, however, due to technical difficulties and the need to offer more to affiliates, USA Radio began directly offering it's newscasts on a barter basis to stations directly."

USA Radio News is delivered online through MP3 downloads.  It's newscasts are available in both a 5 minute top of the hour form, or 2 minute bottom of the hour format.  Each newscast has advertising embedded in the program as well to help with the costs of delivery of the service.

As well, several times during the day, USA Radio offers it's Sports Break as well.  This short form sports report offers up to the minute news from the sports world, scores, and more.

Although some station owners may feel that news is not a major componant of thier music offerings, Hantson feels differently.

"The majority of online radio listeners are tuning in from the workplace." says Hantson.  "The online market is diverse and we've noticed with many of our WWRN affiliated stations, that it enhances thier broadcasts and actually begins to draw more listeners than it turns away."

WWRN has partnered with USA Radio News to provide support to affiliates in automating the download of the broadcasts and providing assistance as well with PAL Scripting for the popular SAM Broadcaster from Spacial Audio.
